Welcome to the world of LIA, a Logical Interactive Assistant! This site is one among many gateways to LIA. Its goal is to provide LIA's community with development resources and to work as a starting point for new programmers.
1. What is LIA?
LIA is a programmable assistant designed for computer science, mathematics, and science education, bringing the power of modern software and hardware systems to children of all ages. This allows students to engage with what their learning and see these fields applied through hands on development of living systems and simulations. However, she can be used by developers at any skill level, and is not restricted to educational roles.
She is extremely flexible, having excellent models for object orientation, and fast prototyping capabilities. She is also highly programmable, allows you to tailor her interaction language to your domain, and has a flexible runtime that allows modification and debugging of running programs (excellent for server-side development and long-running critical software). She is a flexible companion that learns to adapt to your chosen approach to solving problems.
